About Tara
I feel very lucky to have experienced both eastern and western cultures.
My soul had chosen in this incarnation to be born into respected Kurdish families in Sulaymaniya, a beautiful city in the mountainous region of Iraqi Kurdistan near the Iranian border.
For the first 20 years of my life, I grew up and studied here among very wise, strong, sincere and intuitive women – grand-mothers, aunties, great-aunts and their close friends (I call them all my MOTHERS). They didn’t have any labels for their “way” of life, and I was blessed to have been surrounded by such rich-hearted people.
As a little girl, I thought God looked like my father, lived on the clouds and smoked! I still look back at that image with a smile. There were also some very special uncles on my father’s side (my mother had no brothers!). These lovely people were my teachers and guides. The ancestral connections they have given me have formed the core of my inner strength and courage.
Later in the West, I found that my work as a Civil Engineer was not fulfilling me. Mother Nature facilitated a change of direction, and I studied several branches of therapy, finding that Transpersonal Therapy resonated most strongly. I also met a valued friend, Mike, who helped me face the realisation that a major part of my soul’s purpose was “ancestral work”. Karmic Astrology has really helped me to open up and explore this work deeply – which I still find fascinating.
People find that my readings really help when there are family or ancestral patterns that need to be worked on.

My therapy practice
For many years, I have offered a service in Transpersonal Therapy and Counselling, both in private practice and working for various schools, charities and healthcare services. In this practice I have dealt with a wide range of personal and cross-cultural issues, gaining particular experience in working with children (7 years and up) and their parents/carers. I have an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
